Welcome to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Belfast.
What is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)?
CBT looks at how you think ("Cognitive") in relation to the world yourself and others and what you do ("Behaviour)". It focuses upon "here and now" problems and difficulties. While it does not discount possible causes of past distress, it looks for ways to improve your state of mind in the here and now.
It has been shown to be effective for a wide variety of problems such as anxiety, depression, and stress along with a variety of other common emotional problems.
Of course Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is available free on the NHS.
Our service however aims to provide you with a first appointment within a two week period.
Additionally while we adhere to all necessary standards we aim to keep bureaucracy to an absolute minimum.
